Acharya Mahanidhi
Founder
Acharya Mahanidhi, fondly known as Acharyaji, is a highly respected Ayurvedic scholar and researcher who has dedicated his life to empowering students and doctors. Inspired by the teachings of Padma Vibhushana H.H. Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji of Pejwara Mutt, Udupi, Acharyaji exemplifies selfless service in sharing Brahmavidya. Under the guidance of Gurunatha ji in his later years, he evolved intellectually, psychologically, and morally. A significant turning point in his journey was the divine intervention of Sri Agadankari Devi, the feminine manifestation of Dhanvantari, which deepened his dedication to Ayurveda and inspired him to tirelessly promote this ancient science.
The title Acharya Mahanidhi was bestowed upon him by Goddess Agadankari, the divine incarnation of Lord Dhanvantari’s Prakrati Rupa. With over 15 years of experience in Ayurvedic research, Acharyaji has had the privilege of teaching and mentoring countless Ayurvedic doctors.
He received his formal education in a traditional gurukul under the esteemed guidance of Padma Vibhushana H.H. Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji of Pejwara Mutt, Udupi and gained further knowledge under the mentorship of Guru Dr. Manish Mokshagundham.
Currently, Acharyaji leads Kalpatantra Vaidya Gurukula, where Ayurvedic education is integrated with essential modern learning. The gurukul’s mission is to provide quality education, accommodation, and related facilities at minimal cost, nurturing future Ayurvedic practitioners.
With the sacred blessings of Goddess Agadankari, Acharyaji remains devoted to serving Ayurveda and fostering new talents to continue this revered tradition.
Dr. Shagun Acharya, a BAMS doctor with a strong medical background, works alongside Acharyaji. Known for her unwavering dedication, she calls herself a “part-time wife, full-time student” in her pursuit of promoting Ayurveda. Her medical expertise and commitment form the foundation of Oshadham’s patient-centric approach.
Oshadham, an extension of Kalpatantra Pvt Ltd, was founded by Dr. Shagun Acharya and Acharya Mahanidhi with the vision of revitalizing Ayurveda and bringing its holistic healing practices to the modern world.
