Vaikhari is a unified digital infrastructure designed for Indic scholarship, Sanskrit knowledge systems, Ayurveda, and traditional research workflows. It brings together searchable archives, collaborative writing, structured case-study documentation, publication pipelines, and authenticated scholarly interaction into one ecosystem, so traditional knowledge can move from preservation to active creation, validation, and dissemination.
Vaikhari was conceived to solve a deep structural gap in the digital world of traditional knowledge. Sanskrit texts, Ayurvedic case records, commentaries, research papers, and scholarly collaboration are usually scattered across disconnected platforms that do not understand Indic languages, layered commentary traditions, or Ayurveda-specific documentation needs. Vaikhari addresses this by creating a single platform where archival access, writing, review, publishing, and knowledge exchange function together.
The project faced several challenges. Existing digital tools are largely built for English-centric and linear academic workflows, making them unsuitable for Sanskrit, transliteration, multi-script rendering, and commentary-based knowledge traditions. Ayurvedic research also suffers from poor clinical documentation pipelines, fragmented publishing systems, and the absence of structured tools for converting practice into evidence-based literature. In addition, OCR accuracy, linguistic complexity, user adoption, and the cost of building domain-specific infrastructure remain major barriers.
The primary objective of Vaikhari is to create a dedicated digital ecosystem for Indic knowledge and Ayurveda that reduces friction in research, writing, preservation, and publication. It aims to make classical texts searchable and usable, support multilingual collaborative authoring, standardize Ayurveda case reporting, simplify publishing workflows, and enable continuous scholarly dialogue within an authenticated academic environment.
The final result is the design of Vaikhari as a knowledge infrastructure platform for traditional scholarship and Ayurveda. It establishes the digital foundation required to preserve, interpret, write, publish, and expand Indic knowledge in a structured, modern, and globally accessible form, ensuring that traditional wisdom is not left as a static archive but becomes a living and usable body of knowledge.
